Testing Center
Programs and services offered at the Testing Center (TC) are designed to enhance learning skills and help our students succeed. Academic support services are available to help all Snead State students improve academic performance and:
- Succeed in SSCC courses
- Improve study techniques
- Improve testing skills
- Improve interview skills
- Improve time management
- Improve reading proficiency

TRiO Programs
TRiO Programs support the nation’s commitment to provide the opportunity for all Americans to go to college, graduate, and participate in realizing “America’s Economic and Social Dream”. These Federal programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Education under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965.
TRiO Student Support Services
The TRiO Student Support Services program helps low-income, disabled and/or first generation college students to remain in college until they earn their associate degree and transfer to a four-year institution.

Tutoring
One-On-One Tutoring
One-on-one tutoring is available through the Advising Center by appointment to students who would like individual help with the following courses:

- MTH 098
- MTH 100
- MTH 110
- MTH 112
- MTH 125
- MTH 265
The Math Department also offers tutoring services on all math courses offered, including those listed above and others offered during the semester.

Online Tutoring
Free online tutoring in a wide variety of subjects is available via Brainfuse online tutoring service. Brainfuse can be launched in Canvas by going to a course and clicking the “Tutoring” link in the course’s navigation menu.
Student Success Workshops
Student success workshops help students improve and build the skill sets they need to be academically successful. Staff can also provide learning style and career assessments to students on an individual basis.

Learning Resource Lab
The Learning Resource Lab provides student access to materials and resources, such as the computer lab, online tutoring, syllabi and review materials for select courses.
