Snead State Students Place at Phi Beta Lambda National Conference

Eight Snead State Community College students participated in the competitions held as part of the Phi Beta Lambda National Conference, and four of them placed within the top 15 in their respective categories.

The National Leadership Conference was held in San Antonio, Texas on June 24-27. Snead State PBL Sponsors Vann Scott and Meredith Jackson accompanied the students, including Gracie Muncher of Alexandria, Emma Roberts of Boaz, Payton Bannister of Boaz, Breanna Mitchell of Horton, Nora Pettry of Guntersville, Carolyn Smith of Albertville, Jordan Zajac of Boaz and Danny Villacorta-Ayala of Albertville.

Gracie Muncher placed in the top 15 of the two events she participated in – Impromptu Speaking and Business Presentation. Jordan Zajac placed eighth in the Future Business Teacher event. Payton Bannister and Breanna Mitchell placed seventh in the Forensic Accounting event. First Place Social Media Challenge (team) – Jordan Zajac of Boaz and Allison Smith of Albertville.

Phi Beta Lambda is an organization for students interested in the fields of business and economics. The purpose of PBL is to develop competent, aggressive business leadership and to create interest in understanding in business occupations. The sponsors for Snead State’s group are Accounting/Economics Instructor Meredith Jackson and Business Division Director Vann Scott.
