College Hosts Ribbon Cutting/Open House

Snead State Community College invites the community to campus for a couple of events being held in December.
The first is a special Open House and Ribbon Cutting for the newly renovated McCain Student Center.
The community will have an opportunity to walk through the McCain Student Center during the Open House on Tuesday, Dec. 7, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. A brief program and special ribbon cutting will take place around 5 p.m. on the bottom floor of the McCain Center.
Formerly the College’s learning resource center, the renovated facility is home to the Admissions, Financial Aid, Business, Student Services, Information Technology and Campus Engagement offices, but the Center has some additions, including meeting rooms, a banquet/event room, and a gathering space for students.
The McCain Student Center is located on Elder Street at the Boaz campus.
Another special event is being hosted by the Snead State Music Department. The community is invited to the Masterworks Chorale Concert on Friday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Bevill Center Auditorium.
Formerly know as the Community Choir, the Masterworks Chorale will present “Carols Around the World.” The Chorale includes community singers, students and faculty and staff.
Admission is free to Masterworks Chorale Concert.
