Snead State Community College proudly hosted its first induction ceremony for the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society on April 17, marking a milestone for the college’s nursing program.
This inaugural event celebrated the establishment of the Iota Nu chapter of the honor society, which recognizes academic excellence, professionalism, and integrity among associate degree nursing students.
To qualify for induction, students were required to maintain a grade of B or higher in all nursing courses, have no history of course failures in the nursing program, and consistently demonstrate professionalism and integrity both on campus and in clinical settings.
During the ceremony, each student received honor cords and a pin to commemorate their achievement and reflect their dedication to the nursing profession.
Faculty advisors Lauren Cain and Ashley Smith led the development of the Iota Nu chapter and helped guide students through the rigorous standards of the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society, which is affiliated with the national Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN).
