Snead State Community College announced the signing of 11 students into the SSCC Nursing Apprenticeship Program, marking the program’s third cohort.
The Nursing Apprenticeship Program provides students with the opportunity to earn a wage while gaining real-world experience under the guidance of experienced nurse mentors. Through partnerships with local healthcare providers, students can apply classroom knowledge in clinical settings while preparing for successful careers in nursing.
The newest nursing apprenticeship signees and their placement sites include:
- Marshall Medical Center South: Dawson Brasher, Anna Chavez, Meghan Rivera, Levi Hester, Kinsley Smith, Sofia Velazquez, Hannah Walls, and Alivia Carroll
- Marshall Medical Center North: Raeleigh Olinger and Shelbi Stein
- Diversicare Boaz: Jaylyn Presley
Director of the Nursing Lisa Brock said, “We are incredibly proud of this third cohort of nursing apprentices. These students are stepping into meaningful roles within our local healthcare facilities while building confidence, skills, and professionalism.
