The Snead State Community College softball team will enter the ACCC/Region 22 tournament as the No. 3 seed from the Northern Division.
The Lady Parsons are 14-14 in regular season conference play. They will open the tournament Friday, April 27, at 10 a.m. to take on the No. 6 seed from the south, Chattahoochee Valley.
The winner will play the second seed from the ACCC South, Coastal Alabama Community College – South at 12 p.m. Friday.
The tournament is being held at Veterans Park in Alabaster.
In 2017, the Lady Parsons went 6-2 at the tournament and finished as runner-up. They went on to win the NJCAA District I Championship in South Carolina and punch their ticket to the national tournament in St. George, Utah. In 2016, the Parsons finished third.
Two players from the 2017 All-Tournament Team are returning for Snead State – sophomores Torie Garner and Madison Burt.
