Testing

The testing department at Snead State has relocating to the Workforce and Career Institute, located on U.S. Highway 431 between Albertville and Guntersville. Through the testing center, students can take Pearson Vue tests, including GED, along with other proctored tests.

GED Test

The GED test is now taken on the computer.  Complete registration for the test is online at www.ged.com.  See test dates, links for GED registration, and additional information.

Accuplacer Test

The current placement test is called the Accuplacer, which is a product of the College Board. Students who do not have adequate ACT scores or high school benchmarks, in either English or math, must take the Accuplacer. The English portion is called the WritePlacer, where students must compose an essay. The math portion is called Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra and Statistics, consisting of 20 math questions.

ACT Test

The ACT test is also administered on the Snead State campus. Visit www.act.org to view dates and registration information for exams.

Proctored Exams

The Snead State testing department offers a proctoring service.
