We offer degree programs that prepare you to enter the workforce upon completion, and we also offer degree programs that prepare you for further study after you have completed your degree at Snead State.

How long will it take to complete?

Associate in Science

~ 4 semesters. This degree is for those who wish to complete a Bachelor degree at a four-year college or university after graduation from Snead. STARS guides or articulation agreements prepare students for transferring and in choosing the right courses at Snead State. The typical Associate in Science degree programs are 60-64 credit hours.

Associate in Applied Science

~ 4 semesters. The coursework in each of these programs is mostly program-specific, so the courses available may not transfer into other two or four-year programs. Associate in Applied Science programs can be from 60-76 credit hours in length.

Certificates

~ 1 year. Student can earn a credential on their way to completing a degree. Certificate programs provide students with a specialized set of skills for employment or professional advancement. Certificates are not designed for transfer to a senior institution.

Short-Term Certificates

~ 1 semester. Require fewer credit hours than a degree or a certificate and provides students with a focused set of skills for an entry-level position in business and industry. Students can earn a credential on their way to completing an AAS degree. Short-term certificates are not designed for transfer to a senior institution.
