The Snead State Ambassadors is a service organization that works with the recruiting and alumni departments to promote the image of the college and maintain relationships with former, current and future students. The Ambassadors, a vital part of Snead State’s activity program, assists with such events as Counselors Day, College Day, Homecoming, Commencement and campus tours. The organization also serves to develop leadership abilities, to cultivate friendship, and to encourage participation in College-sponsored activities and community service projects.

Membership is limited to those selected by a screening process. Each candidate must submit an application and be interviewed by a panel consisting of faculty and staff from Snead State Community College. New members are selected in the fall semester of each year. Ambassadors must maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point average, and their conduct must be above reproach. Ambassadors’ class and work schedules must be flexible enough to allow them to regularly attend meetings, to routinely give campus tours as needed, and to participate in events and the planning of those events. Ambassadors who complete consecutive fall and spring semesters in good standing are eligible to serve an additional fall and spring semester. Ambassadors will be required to wear the appropriate dress when representing the organization at events. The appropriate dress will be determined by the Ambassador sponsor. Complete information can be found in the Ambassador Participation Agreement.
