Whether you are planning to enroll in college for the first time, transferring to Snead State from another institution, coming back to school after some time off, or are already a Snead State student, we are here to help you through the exciting, yet sometimes overwhelming process.

Patti Morgan

Hi! My name is Patti Morgan and I am the Career Coach at Snead State Community College. I am originally from south Texas, and earned my degrees from two universities there. I have worked in several different capacities in my career path, and most recently worked at the Alabama Career Center in Huntsville for the Gadsden Job Corps Center.

My position as Admission Counselor was to not only recruit and admit students to our Center, but provided me the opportunity to work with the WIA program recruiting, Launch Program Career Coaches, and learn the Alabama Job Link employment system.

Emma Reeves


Hello! My name is Emma Reeves and I am a Student Success Navigator here at Snead State Community College. I recruit students from high schools in the area and assist with admissions advising.  I am from Arab, AL where I attended Arab High School. I began my college career at Wallace State Community College, later transferring to Auburn University where I received my B.S. in Secondary Math Education. I spent five years of my professional career teaching middle and high school math. I am currently pursuing my M.S. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from the University of West Alabama. I truly believe that the community college setting helped to build my foundation for academic success.

I am committed to helping you transition into the college setting and in making educational plans for your future. I enjoy helping students from all walks of life discover confidence in perusing their educational goals.

Manuel Vasquez

Hey Parsons, my name is Manuel Vasquez and I’m a Student Success Navigator here at Snead State Community College! I grew up on Sand Mountain and attended Albertville High School, go Aggies! After graduating from Albertville, I went on to complete my undergraduate degree in English and my graduate degree in Counseling and Psychology at Troy University. I have worked for several colleges and universities around the United States and am happy to be back home working with students here at Snead State.

As a Student Success Navigator, I work to ensure students have the best experience possible. I am excited to help students achieve their academic goals and further their personal successes. I work with students one on one to develop plans to overcome obstacles and to ensure continued success where ever their Snead State education takes them.

Tristin Callahan

Hi! My name is Tristin Callahan and I am the Director of Admissions at Snead State Community College. I grew up in Boaz and attended Boaz High School. I attended Snead State Community College and obtained an A.S. in History. From SSCC, I attended Jacksonville State University obtaining a B.A. in History. After JSU, I attended the University of West Alabama from which I received a M.S. in Student Affairs. I firmly believe that Snead State is the root of my successful college career.

As the Director of Admissions and Recruiting, I am determined to make your transition to college as smooth as possible no matter where you are coming from. I want to see every student here at Snead State succeed and complete their college and career goals.
