Snead State Alumni Homecoming Spotlights Athletic Legacy

It’s Game Day for the Snead State Alumni Association as the organization pays tribute to the College’s athletic traditions and achievements during the annual Alumni Homecoming on Friday, April 28, at the Plunkett-Wallace gymnasium on the Boaz campus.

The Alumni Association welcomes former students who participated in Snead State’s athletic programs over the years as special guests for the event. Alumni Homecoming will begin with a Mix and Mingle time beginning at 5:30 p.m. In addition to food and fellowship, the event will include entertainment provided by inspirational comedian David Ferrell.

For over 20 years, comedian and motivational speaker David Ferrell has shown audiences that comedy can be clean and funny! He is a multi-year nominee for Comedian of the Year, alongside Mark Lowry, Dennis Swanberg, Chonda Pierce and some of the biggest names in clean comedy, by The Inspirational Country Music Awards and has been named as one of the top “Hot Acts in America” by Event Solutions Magazine. In addition to his uproarious tales about everyday life, David delights audiences with hilarious impressions of famous celebrities, cartoon characters, farm animals and many more!

The highlight of the Snead State Alumni Homecoming festivities will be the presentations of the 2017 Alumnus of the Year and the Distinguished Service Award.

To RSVP for the event, contact the Alumni Office at or (256) 840-4207. Admission is free to this event. The event is open to alumni, current students, employees, and supporters of Snead State Community College.
